With easy connection to Torquay beach lifestyle and uninterrupted rural outlook the community urban design focused on achieving strong passive design for the homes and key outlook and positioning for the shared community spaces. DC8 Studio, as the architect for the Victorian housing suite, could achieve an integrated design response between individual houses and urban design strategies.

The Sales and Welcome Centre on arrival was designed to address the street and anchor views of the 100 year old tree at site. The building and tree frame the entry into the community. The construction was a prefab modular design to save time on site and achieve sales and project milestones. Once the community has completed sales the building will be handed over to residents as additional community and meeting spaces.
