Urban Design

With easy connection to Torquay beach lifestyle and uninterrupted rural outlook the community urban design focused on achieving strong passive design for the homes and key outlook and positioning for the shared community spaces. DC8 Studio, as the architect for the Victorian housing suite, could achieve an integrated design response between individual houses and urban design strategies.

The Sales and Welcome Centre and 100 year old native tree anchor the arrival point into the community. This open arrival links through to a green boulevard arriving at the communities shared clubhouse facilities. Care and attention were made to the surrounding rural landscape, bushfire overlays and privacy and amenity of all homes.
