Shoreline Urban Design

Redlands, Queensland

Urban Design

The Shoreline project is a 279ha masterplanned community located to the south of the existing Redland Bay township. The Bushland to the west and the Bay to the east are two key elements in the physical character of the area, while the history of the people who have touched this land become part of the storytelling of this place.

Shoreline is a place of careful balance. Where expansive views of the bay meet the serenity of the bush. The Precinct offers the opportunity to launch the Shoreline project as the first step in a new landmark community.

Over time Shoreline is set to evolve connecting the Bush and the Bay by means of the movement paths, residential environments, places of amenity and open space networks. This philosophy includes key elements such as “The Big Red”, “The Big Green”. The urban design responds to the site itself in terms of the land form with key elements being the ridge lines, valleys and the amenity of the open space.
