With easy connection to Torquay beach lifestyle and uninterrupted rural outlook the community urban design focused on achieving strong passive design for the homes and key outlook and positioning for the shared community spaces. DC8 Studio, as the architect for the Victorian housing suite, could achieve an integrated design response between individual houses and urban design strategies.

The clubhouse is a series of pavilions that create a northern courtyard for outdoor sports and activities with the resort pool and sunken fire pit taking advantage of rural views to the east. The pavilions cluster spaces into Social, Retreat and Health and Wellness interests. Local materials are used where ever possible with cues from the beaches used to inspire the exterior and interior palettes.
