DC8 Studio won the tender for architectural and interior design services to reposition the building as a positive asset within its urban environment.

The intent was to leverage greater connectivity between Brookes St and Wickham Streets, reactivate the retail line and provide enhanced social amenity for the tenants of HQ South. This was achieved through an escalator removal and replacement with a grand staircase linking the 2 streets complete with rebranded signage.

Within the lobby reconfiguration the removal of an existing café and adjusting of floor levels to create a new social networking space with external seating areas integrated with enhanced landscaped areas. Achieved through a holistic aesthetic upgrade including new furniture selections, IT provisions and the removal of combustible external cladding.
