Gables located between Windsor and the Hills, allows it to enjoy the best of both worlds – the suburban amenities of North-West Sydney, and the farmland and bush of Windsor and Hawkesbury. Containing over 230 houses alongside a thriving community heart, life at Gables is a warm, inviting centre where connection between neighbours and surrounding communities is its driving force.
DC8 Studio was engaged to develop further iterations on selected Halcyon houses to be implemented into the streetscapes. Creating modern interpretations of traditional rural and suburban forms showcasing the intertwined nature of Box Hill. With varied forms between the houses and natural green space present at the doorstep for each home, a sense of growth is felt.
Particular detail was paid to the functional planning of the homes which were design in accordance with SEPP Housing (Seniors). Designs are adaptable for aging in place whilst meeting a high standard of finishes and fixtures for the home owners.
