ALDI Freehold Stores NSW & QLD

Architecture + Project Management
  • Since 2010 DC8 Studio have been involved in the design, documentation and delivery of ALDI stores in QLD and Northern NSW, in both freehold and leasehold formats. Our full service role extends from feasibility and design to store opening and beyond. Working closely with ALDI directors, DC8 Studio coordinate a design team to produce a consistent quality result that meets ALDI’s exacting standards.

ALDI’s expansion into the local market necessitates canvassing many potential sites for every one site that is eventually developed. DC8 Studio assists with feasibility studies before each candidate site is either acquired or rejected. ALDI’s preferred and proven procurement process follows the traditional method of full documentation, tendering, contracting and architect administration as superintendent during contract administration.

Whilst ALDI have standard designs for standalone stores, some sites require one-off solutions. Part of DC8 Studio’s role is to adapt ALDI’s design format to suit each site and local conditions. DC8 Studio draw on a depth of retail knowledge and familiarity with ALDI to produce individually tailored stores. The success of ALDI stores has resulted in a larger format store with DC8 assisting with an expansion rollout.
