What do you do when you can’t get approval to demolish your Queenslander, but you need to expand your house and want a contemporary design? How do you create great, light-filled spaces on a south-facing lot? And how do you stretch your budget and avoid it being swallowed up in the unforeseen, but inevitable costs associated with renovating old homes. DC8 Studio’s recent project in Windsor demonstrates one solution - a pavilion we call the “Backyard Box”.
